Finding the perfect tree!!!

The kids loved searching through the "forrest" for the perfect tree. The search only lasted about 10 minutes and all of them were just too cold to look any longer. On the way out of the christmas tree lot, the kids kept an eye out for any elves that may be hiding. According to the kids...The elves are hiding here because it feels like the North Pole.

Pop-Star Cooker

Abbie helped Grandma make turkey soup for dinner tonight. Here are HER words exactly-
"Mom, I should be a cooker when I get big." "Well, I am going to be a pop star too, so...
I guess I will be a POPSTAR COOKER!"

She was so proud of herself cutting the carrots for the soup, she wanted to teach Sawyer how to make a PB&J

Happy Birthday Abbie

Abbie turned 5 today!!!
She was very specific about what would take place on her birthday

a very special breakfast with birthday candles in it
Lunch at McDonalds
birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and ONLY girls wearing dress ups were allowed
Hannah Montana on the stage at Chuck E Chesse, but would settle for Taylor Swift if Hannah couldn't make it
several presents circled in the target ad that came last Sunday
Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting AND cupcakes for everyone else

UNFORTUNATELY, I was unable to grant all of her wishes...
BUT..I think she had a good day. She ended up going to Chuck E Cheese with 1 friend. She chose her friend Afton. They have become the cutest friends. They go to school together and play at the gym on the days they don't have school. I love listening to them talk all about Hannah, Gabriella, and Jonas brothers. The two are perfect for each other. Spending time with Afton was the highlight of her day.

While the girls played, Mason and Taylor played a little air hockey. Mason beat Taylor every time!!!

Girls Trip 2009

(Mom, Me, Ereka, Amy, G.Lou)

We had our annual girls trip this past week. All the girls on my mom's side of the family meet in St. George for a week of shopping, talking, eating, cooking and more shopping. Thanks to my wonderful grandma Lou for making it all possible. I love you all, and can't wait for next year. (We missed you Dar!)

Tonight as I was unpacking, cleaning and getting things ready for church, I peeked in to check on the girls. Abbie was wearing this sleep mask! I don't know where she comes from.... ( notice that Gabriella is tucked in comfortably next to her.)

Halloween

Every Halloween we all meet at Mom and Dad's house. We have chili, clam chowder, doughnuts and massive amounts of candy. There are always so many visitors, it is so much fun. This year was especially fun, because the U had their football game the same night! Mason had his trick or treating all planed out. He would go during half time, and would only do 1 street so that he would not miss any of the game. He didn't even have his costume on long enough for me to snap a picture. I do not know where he came from. What kid doesn't want to trick or treat all night and get as much candy as possible? .....Mason! Crazy kid!

9 years

(gotta love the self portrait)

Happy Anniversary to us! Taylor and I went to St. George for our anniversary. We had such a relaxing time. We loved taking a break from our stressful life and leaving our kids behind. We slept, ate, shopped and mountain biked. We really do like spending time together, we just never get to when we are home. Hopefully, we will make more of an effort to spend some more time together. Love you TK!

Taylor doing all the dirty work. The best part of biking with husband is that he loads, unloads, pumps up tires and fixes chains while I sit back and watch!

The only injury, a tiny scrape that I got from falling off my bike going up hill. Yes, I said up hill. I didn't unclip fast enough to catch my self.... smart eh?

We love U...

This morning we ran the University of Utah Alumni race. I love this race. Me, Mom and my little brother ran the 5k and the kids do a little 1k. It is adorable to see the kids running as fast as they can. When the kids cross the finish line they get a cute medal around their necks.

I ran into my old college roomie Tracee. We were sorority sisters and lived together for a while. The two of us ran together on our old stomping grounds!! It was so fun to run with her and catch up.

WE LOVE THE U!!!
